The Healey-Driscoll Administration and the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) recently announced $3.7 million in funding to support 16 innovative projects in Women’s Health. We are thrilled to share that the Gnecco Lab is among the awardees! Through the Women’s Health Innovation Grants Program, we received $300,000 for our project, NeurOsis: An Innervated Physiomimetic Platform for Modeling Neuroinflammation in Endometriosis, which will focus on proof-of-concept experiments with translational potential. Additionally, through the First Look Awards Program, a collaboration between MLSC and the Mary Horrigan Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology, we secured $50,000 for the project, Development of CRISPR/Cas9-Engineered Organoid Model to Reveal Genetic Origins of Endometriosis.

These grants will propel breakthrough research at the Gnecco Lab, advancing our understanding of endometriosis and creating impactful solutions. Stay tuned for updates as we dive into these exciting projects! To learn more about this initiative, visit the MLSC announcement here.
